Leadership Team

Mesfin is President/CEO and co-founder of Rezgateway. He has overall responsibility for the company's performance and strategic direction. An expert in management, finance, international business, process optimization, and quality control; he has worked for half a dozen companies in senior management positions.

Prior to founding Rezgateway, Mesfin was President/City Executive of Wachovia Bank (the fourth largest bank in the US) in Northern Virginia for 17 years; CFO and then President for Middle East and Africa of Apex CoVantage, the leader in high performance global Knowledge Process Outsourcing solutions. In addition, Mesfin is co-founder and chairman of a charitable NGO, Ascend Sustainable Foundation, engaged in AIDS prevention charity work in Ethiopia. Mesfin holds a BA from Washington DC University and an MBA from American University.

Ashok is the COO and co-founder of Rezgateway. An operations and technology executive with more than 22 years of experience in all facets of running technology related businesses. He has a deep understanding of E-commerce and the Travel ecosystem.

Ashok oversees the company’s day-to-day operations as well as providing leadership for sales, marketing, product development and technology. As an experienced leader, Ashok is always striving to find innovative solutions and is committed to continuous improvement in all facets of the business.

Prior to forming Rezgateway, Ashok held various leadership positions in product design, project management, sales, marketing and business development in finance, travel and technology companies. Ashok holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Colombo and is a Chartered Management Accountant (U.K).

Rushdi is the CFO and co-founder of Rezgateway. He is responsible for overseeing accounting, finance and administration activities of the company.

Rushdi has more than 24 years’ experience in finance and operations, strategic planning, project management and investments.

Prior to forming Rezgateway, Rushdi held various leadership positions in Investment, Accounting, and technology companies. Rushdi holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Colombo, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and is a Chartered Management Accountant (U.K).

Indika has been with Rezgateway since its inception and is responsible for leading the engineering and technology innovations for the company’s products and services.

Indika was instrumental in kick starting open source, cloud, mobile and agile initiatives at Rezgateway and is currently working on building a new platform based on microservice architecture and cloud-to-device for Rezgateway’s product offerings.

He has over 18 years of technical experience covering a wide variety of disciplines including enterprise web applications, building scalable and distributed applications, Java EE platform, agile development and enterprise IT.

Though he started as a developer, Indika spent most of his career architecting complex solution and overseeing their development from end to end. This gives Indika the insight and the experience to leverage solutions and methodologies across different disciplines.

Outside work, Indika is an enthusiastic Rugby fan, a martial arts practitioner and likes to spend his time studying technology innovations.

Rastko has been with Rezgateway for over 10 years and is responsible for designing and developing Rezgateway’s GDS integration platform. He has over 25 years of software design and development experience in the travel industry, with extensive experience in working with airlines and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan.

Prior to working with Rezgateway, Rastko occupied various positions at Amadeus development center in Nice (France).

Ragusuthan (aka Ragu), who heads Rezgateway’s core product line has been with the company since its inception. He has over 20 years of experience in system analysis, design and software development.

Ragu has been closely involved in building and launching Rezgateway’s travel products, and in addition to managing the product management team, he also leads the supplier integration and data management teams.

Prior to joining Rezgateway, Ragu was involved in IT lecturing, system administration and software development. He is a Professional Graduate from the British Computer Society and the Australian Computer Society.

Ragu enjoys working on community based projects, traveling and connecting with friends.

Buddika has over 13 years of experience in end to end management of IT Infrastructure, 24/7 IT operations & DevOps.

At Rezgateway, Buddika was instrumental in building a platform to automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure and application releasing using the CI-CD pipeline following the best DevOps practices.

He started his career as a software developer and has designed, developed, tested and supported software from all facets of the software life cycle.

Buddika is a passionate fan of Cricket and he organizes many team building events at Rezgateway.

Ghazali is the head of Business Process Outsourcing services at Rezgateway. As the head of this unit he is responsible for the productive utilization of divisional resources, attracting the right talent, deliver as per the service level agreements and manage client relationships.

Ghazali has been closely involved in developing Rezgateway’s BPO services across many global customers operating in different time zones.

Ghazali has over 10 years of experience in BPO, Hospitality, Railway and Tea industries. He pursued his higher studies in Chartered Accountancy at BPP University (U.K).

Thilanka counts more than 20 years of experience in the domain of Project Management and Microsoft technologies. He worked in dynamic and high growth company that began as start-up and successfully graduated to the growth and expansion phases. His previous experience are mainly focusing on Software deployment strategy and managing global customer portfolios across multiple sectors such as financial, telco, and government.

In his current role, he oversees the Project Management function and mainly responsible for coordinating the team members and the client, allocating the resources, and streamlining the processes.

He is a Fellow Member of British Computer Society (FBCS) and professional graduate of the British Computer Society UK. He obtained his MBA from Manchester Metropolitan, UK.

Thilanka enjoys adventurous explorations to exotic locations and also an active practitioner of the art of peace. He also enjoys music, watching movies, and travelling.
